MEMBER REGISTRATION

1. Job Description 

Any candidates who are interested in Tour Guiding jobs or want to gain first hand experience of  Hospitality and Tourism major could apply for this position. There is no limited number for this position, as long as you meet the requirements and pass the interview round, you are all welcome to be one of us!

2. Responsibility

• Provide English guiding service throughout the whole tour. Introduce exact information. about the destinations along with your own experience. Answer guests’ questions as clearly as possible. 

• Assist Tour Operators in discussion for the most suitable tour packages for clients. 

• Assist Tour Operators in managing tour transportation.

• Pick up guests at the appointed destinations.

• Keep track and take care of your own group, perform safe tour guiding procedures. 

• Tour guides are encouraged to go extra miles to help your clients but must be aware of your own limits to avoid putting yourself in unnecessary danger. 

3. Requirements

• The minimum enrollment age is 16 years old. If you are below 16 years old, you need to ask for your parents’ consent and fill in the application form. 

• Ability to communicate in English well and articulate with clear speaking voice

• Currently living or studying in Taipei, Taiwan

• Friendly, approachable manner to ensure all visitors are made to feel really welcome

• Stable physical states as the tours will mainly be walking tours. 

• Flexible timetable, time management skill, good memory  

• Willingness to learn about the job and to correct any mistakes, find happiness in helping tourists understanding about Taipei

We provide orientation and general training courses in tour guiding skill and communication English for newbies for them to learn the ropes better.

d. Flexible working hours

You can choose to work whenever you have free time, we will post the tour group information and you can contact us to confirm your availability 2 days before the tour taking place.

The organisation will hold occasional events (prom, year end party) or extracurricular activities (workshop, competition) for the members to get to know each other, cement the relationships between members, boost their English skills, check their own knowledge base and learn new things . 

• Outdoor advanced training for all levels: A major outdoor event taking place at different cultural and historic spots to provide advanced training and on site experience for members. 

• Workshop, competitions, team buildings: Invite guest speakers to speak on different topics such as guest complaints, guest satisfaction, tour guide essential skills, international etiquette, English skills etc. Organise team building activities or competitions in groups and individually with rewards for the winners.  

• Social service activities: Collaboration with university and high school’s English clubs, English language department, foreign universities to organise extra-curricular activities with them. Do charity and social works to contribute back to society. 

• Events: Prom, year end party, quarter end party
