Despite the fact that people nowadays usually just go for a quick breakfast at a convenience store like 7-11 or Family Mart, traditional breakfast food in Taiwan remains its popularity and holds a special place in people’s hearts. If you get up early enough around 6AM, you can easily catch the scene of people lining up in front of different breakfast stalls, waiting for their orders. Some of the breakfast stores in Taiwan do not provide the English menu and they only communicate in Mandarin, so it would be nice if you could prepare what you would like to order in Mandarin notes. Another thing is that you surely will have to line up for your breakfast, which is a quite unusual experience because breakfast is supposed to be easy and fast, but in Taiwan you can enjoy the slower and chiller lifestyle.
